They call themselves The Rudes and were formed in 2023.
Based in Colombo, they say they perform at weddings, outdoor events and also at pubs.
In fact, they started out as a pub band and continue to perform at pubs down south.
The Rudes is a six-piece outfit comprising Thilira (drums), Kasun (bass), Subodha (keyboards), Sithija (guitar) and Lishan and Yasith (vocals).
They are all teenagers but with lots of talent and experience.
They have released an English mixtape, on YouTube, called ‘The Rudes Tape Vol. 1.’
