Two people were killed and 29 others injured when a bus, carrying a group of pilgrims, crashed into a stationary container truck at Ambanpola, on Monday morning.
Issuing a statement, the Police Media Unit said the deceased were aged 32 and 71. Seven of the injured were admitted to the Ambanpola Hospital, and 22 to the Galgamuwa Hospital, police said.
Police believe reckless driving caused the accident. (RK)
