Weather forecast issued at 05.30 a.m. on 15 April 2023 by the Department of Meteorology
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts during the afternoon or night. Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the island.
Winds will be south-easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
