The Navy on Sunday (16) rescued two girls after the jet ski they were riding overturned in Gregory Lake, Nuwara Eliya.
Personnel from the Navy’s Rapid Response Rescue and Relief Unit (4RU), deployed for lifesaving duties at the Gregory Lake, sprang into action, Navy headquarters said. Their timely intervention brought the two teenagers to safety, who were at risk of drowning.
The rescued children are residents of the Minuwangoda area, aged 11 and 13.
