The Social & Cultural Committee of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya, Colombo Chapter chaired by Mrs. Kumudini Kulatunga together with its members offered lunch, medicine, milk powder, sanitary items, pillows, sherbet etc. to the 45 residents of the Paramitha Elders Home, Wanawasala Road, Kelaniya on October 23 to bestow merits on their late members and families.
Other necessities were offered to venerable Balapitiye Gnanasiri Thero addressing a range of needs such as paint for the maintenance of the home.
Venerable Kahawatte Dhammapala Thero delivered the Dharmadeshana and blessed the current members, their families and donors those who supported the event and wished them good health and longevity states the President of the association Mr. Palitha Siyambalapitiya.
