Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena last week informed Parliament that he had received a copy of a petition on 2024.07.02 and another copy of a petition on 2024.07.04, filed at the Supreme Court under the Article 121(1) of the Constitution in respect of the Bill titled “Reciprocal Recognition, Registration and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments”, in addition to the receipt of one Petition mentioned “in my announcement dated 02nd July 2024”. He also said that he had received a copy of a petition on 03.07.2024, filed at the Supreme Court under Article 121(1) of the Constitution in respect of the Bill titled “Immigration”.
