The Parliament Business Committee has decided that the House will meet in the fourth week from Tuesday (25) to Friday (28) instead of the second week of this month from April 18 to 22, parliament sources said.
Parliament met on 04 April for a single day in its first sitting week this month.
The Business Committee met under the chairmanship of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena decided that parliament will shift its meeting from the third week to the fourth week of April. The originally scheduled second sitting week was from April 18 to April 22. As per the latest decision, the House is scheduled to meet for four days from April 25 to April 28.
